What's new in Dallas County, Texas?
Collections and compliance pioneers. With a population that exceeds 2 million, their County Clerk and staff were, and continue to be, instrumental in shaping justice collection program behavior across the State of Texas. In 2005, they initially welcomed I-Plow. Recently, the District Clerk contracted with us to automate their juvenile justice collections and compliance process. As you may be aware or can envision, any juvenile related justice process raises numerous challenges.
For example:
Does the juvenile actually receive any contact or are all collections-related calls and documents addressed directly to the parent or guardian?
What happens if more than one person is responsible for various assessments on a juvenile case? Often, a judge carves out various assessments with instructions to the affect that "... the juvenile will pay a certain amount to satisfy the monthly probation/supervision fee..." while a parent or guardian is individually instructed to pay a certain on a monthly basis to satisfy: attorney fees, child support, court costs, placement fees, etc.". Also, multiple parents and/or guardians may be instructed to jointly satisfy victim restitution.
